Stephen Nelson

Chief Executive Officer, Longview Power

Stephen Nelson leads Longview Power and contributes strategic guidance to Mountain State Energy Holdings. With more than 40 years of experience in power plant operations and management, Mr. Nelson has overseen Longview’s transformation into one of the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power facilities in North America. His leadership emphasizes operational excellence, workforce safety, and long-term environmental responsibility.

Chief Commercial Officer, Longview Power

Randy Gillespie directs commercial strategy across MSEH’s operations, including energy market management, asset optimization, and regional growth. With over two decades of experience in competitive energy markets, he brings financial and strategic insight that supports the organization’s mission of reliable, cost-effective power generation.

With more than 15 years in power generation, Chad Hufnagel manages the day-to-day operations of Longview Power’s 710 MW facility. His leadership in maintenance, reliability, and engineering has set new performance benchmarks for efficiency and safety.

A founding leader and longtime advocate for modern, clean energy solutions, Jeff Keffer now serves as Chairman of the Board. With over 30 years of experience in energy finance and project development, Mr. Keffer continues to guide MSEH’s strategic direction and investment priorities.

Michael Mooney, CPA – CFO

Michael Mooney, CPA

Chief Financial Officer, Longview Power

Mooney joined the company in 2024 as CFO. With over 30 years’ experience in various finance and accounting roles with a varied background of industries including power generation, technology, manufacturing and construction. Mooney brings over 15 years of power generation experience including development, construction and operations. Prior to joining Longview, Mooney served as VP of Finance at IMG Energy Services and previously worked at Reliant Energy, an NRG Company, and RRI Energy as Lead O&M Budget Coordinator/Analyst. He has a B.S. degree in Accounting from Robert Morris University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
